It is to be noted that the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (TICPS) is a hybrid journal, i.e. a subscription journal in which some of the articles are open access. It has started accepting submissions. The first batch of papers are expected to be on IEEE Xplore by the middle of February.

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics

The scope of the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics encompasses the Field of Interest of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, publishing papers and special sections on emerging topics and new trends.

IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society

IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society has a wide scope that encloses all the Industrial Electronics Society Field of Interest. It covers the theory and applications of electronics, controls, communications, instrumentation, and computational intelligence to industrial, infrastructure, and manufacturing systems and processes. Included are power electronics and drive control techniques, renewable energies, system control and signal processing, fault detection, and diagnosis, power systems, measurement and testing, modeling, simulation, and optimization of industrial systems.

IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society focuses on information-intensive, knowledge-based automation and digitalization, to enhance industrial but also energy, mobility, health, home/building, and other infrastructure eco-systems. This embraces a collection of techniques that use data and information acquisition, analysis, manipulation, and distribution to achieve higher flexibility, efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, and/or security within the digitalized and networked environments. The scope of the journal provides a forum and dissemination platform for discourse and informing its readers about the latest developments in, among other research and innovation areas, electrical components and systems, smart grid, industrial cyber-physical systems, motion control, robotics and mechatronics, sensors and actuators, factory and building communication and automation, industrial digitalization, flexible and reconfigurable manufacturing, assistant systems, industrial applications of artificial intelligence and data science, implementation of machine learning, artificial neural networks, and fuzzy logic, human-factors in digitalized and networked ecosystems.

Industrial Electronics Magazine

The IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine publishes peer-reviewed articles that present emerging trends and practices in industrial electronics, reports on products research and development, key insights presented by leaders from academia and industry, as well as tutorials and surveys covering the theory and applications of electronics, controls, communications, instrumentation, and computational intelligence in industrial and manufacturing systems and processes. Particular emphasis will be on reports on recent technology developments, deployments, and trends frequently released to the profession for the first time, with potentials for tangible impact on the industrial electronics area.

Co-sponsored Journals

IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics

The transaction is a joint publication of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and ASME - American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The aim of the present Transactions is to establish a high-quality archival journal that presents the state of the art, recent advances, and practical applications of mechatronics.

IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems

The Journal of Microelectromechanical systems (JMEMS) is published under the joint sponsorship of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers IEEE and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME. Three societies of IEEE, Electron Devices, Industrial Electronics, and Robotics and Automation are direct sponsors of JMEMS. IEEE/ASME JMEMS publishes papers that describe advances in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Topics covered in JMEMS papers deal with micromechanics, microdynamical systems, microfabrication technologies useful for MEMS, modeling and design issues for MEMS, materials properties that bear on MEMS designs, phenomena pertinent to MEMS designs and performance, MEMS characterization and reliability, interface issues affecting mechanical, electrical, chemical, and biological factors associated with MEMS, tribology issues for small devices. Typical MEMS devices have smaller than mm dimensions and they are characterized by engineering and control of lengths and movements that range typically from nm to micrometers. Papers that are sometimes described as being concerned with nanotechnology are welcome in IEEE/ASME JMEMS, a journal in which the term "micro" is interpreted in its classical sense as "tiny."

IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy

A joint publication of Industry Applications Society, Industrial Electronics Society, Instrumentation and Measurement Society, Oceanic Engineering Society, Power Electronics Society, Power & Energy Society, Photonics Society, and the Society on Social Implications of Technology.

The IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy is intended to be a cross-disciplinary and internationally archival journal aimed at disseminating results of research on sustainable energy that relates to, arises from, or deliberately influences energy generation, transmission, distribution, and delivery. The journal will publish original research on theories and development on principles of sustainable energy technologies and systems. The Transactions will also welcome manuscripts on the design, implementation, and evaluation of power systems that are affected by sustainable energy. Surveys of existing work on sustainable energy may also be considered for publication when they propose a new viewpoint on history and a challenging perspective on the future of sustainable energy.

IEEE Transactions on Smart Grids

A joint publication of Computational Intelligence Society, Communications Society, Computer Society, Control Systems Society, Industry  Applications Society, Industrial Electronics Society, Instrumentation and Measurement Society, Power Electronics Society, Power & Energy Society, and Signal Processing Society.
The IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid is intended to be a cross-disciplinary and internationally archival journal aimed at disseminating the results of research on smart grids that relate to energy generation, transmission, distribution, and delivery. The journal will publish original research on theories, technologies, design, policies, and implementation of the smart grid. The Transactions will welcome manuscripts on the design, implementation, and evaluation of energy systems that include smart grid technologies and applications. Surveys of existing work on the smart grid may also be considered for publication when they propose a challenging perspective on the future of such technologies and systems.

Journal on Photovoltaics

A joint publication of Electron Devices Society, Industrial Electronics Society, Nanotechnology Council, Photonics Society, Power Electronics Society, Power & Energy Society, and Reliability Society.  The IEEE Journal of Photovoltaics is a peer-reviewed, archival publication reporting original and significant research results that advance the field of photovoltaics (PV).
The PV field is diverse in its science base ranging from semiconductor and PV device physics to optics and the materials sciences.  The journal publishes articles that connect this science base to PV science and technology.  The intent is to publish original research results that are of primary interest to the photovoltaic specialist.

eNews

IE Technology News

The IE Technology News (ITeN) is a step forward to widen the reach of the IES by a free online publication. This provides the extended abstracts of a few timely, thought-provoking articles from IES transactions, magazine, and conference proceedings periodically. In addition, it also aims to report important society news, announcement, and summaries of IES conferences, a brief outline of interesting tutorials (from IES-conferences), and promote the activities of Technical Committees. ITeN is supported by an editorial board with domain experts from academia and industries and Technical Committees (through Chairs and Vice-Chairs) of IES.
