Open invite to ALL IES members to join Kyoto AdCom Meetings via Zoom Webinar

A message from IES President, Professor Milos Manic:

Dear IES Members and Friends, 

I cordially invite you to join the livestreamed Zoom webinar of the first IES AdCom meeting of 2024, on Saturday 2 March 2024, 9:00 am JST (12:00 AM UTC).
The IES Administrative Committee (AdCom) is responsible for governing and administering the Society under the Society’s Constitution and Bylaws, in the best interests of the IEEE, the IES members, and the scientific communities in the areas of the IES field of interest. By joining this meeting, you will gain an understanding and experience of how the AdCom engages in discussion, consultation, voting and decision-making on current and future activities of the Society. You can also engage in Q&A with members and officers of the IES. 

 

On Friday 1 March 2024, 9:00 am JST (12:00 AM UTC), we will be conducting the IES Strategy Day, I would like to invite you to attend this event as well. The same Zoom webinar link will provide you access to the livestream of the Strategy Day. In this meeting, we will work on the overall strategy of the Society, objectives, goals and KPIs, your input and feedback will be invaluable for these planning activities.

A note on meeting modality (what does webinar mean?): 
The Zoom Webinars support larger audiences, offer capabilities such as Q&A, chat, and will help us conduct easier communication. 
  • The AdCom voting members unable to travel will be assigned a role of a "panelist". Panelists are full participants, can share a screen and be an active speaker. 
  • The non-voting AdCom members unable to travel will register for zoom as "attendees". Attendees are view-only participants who can be unmuted. A designated person will monitor Q&A and chat, and notify the chair of the meeting accordingly.
