Travel ticket upgrades - IEEE travel policy advises purchasing tickets in the economy/coach class and doing it a few weeks in advance.

• One can always document pricing for the Economy Class and Upgraded Class tickets on the same route and date, purchase the upgraded ticket, and claim only the Economy CLass reimbursement. Another solution is to buy an Economy Class ticket and later upgrade it at your own expense.
• Purchasing Economy Plus requires prior authorization within our Society.
• Business class upgrade requires IEEE TAB authorization on top of the Society's. The primary reason for business class upgrades would be health conditions and long-haul flights.
• Use the Travel Upgrade Authorization Form when asking for authorization. You must sign in to a Google account to complete the form. The form will be automatically emailed to the Society President with cc's to the Treasurer upon its submission.
• Historically, this kind of authorization in our Society has been performed by the Society President.
